When is Bell Fibe TV going to have the Caller ID display on the TV screen? it has been awhile and they keep saying coming soon, but 2 years later still nothing, also Telus Optik TV already has Multiview, when is Bell planning to give us these features?? any ideas?

Who said they were coming soon. I was told call display was not coming.

I spoke from what a couple of CSR's told me when I called they said the Call Display for home phone was coming soon, as for the Multi View they were not quite sure. so I am only speaking from what the Bell CSR's told me my friend... sorry

I'm surprised that Call Display would possibly be shown on Fibe TV. Several CSR state that Home phone and Fibe are completely separate services that just shares the incoming "copper" based Bell line.

yeah thats what I thought too, but the 2 CSR's I spoke too say that it is just a long process as they have to incorporate all the phone numbers to the network database and blah blah blah, half the time I have no idea what they are talking about, and I just acknowledge and say thank you and I move on.. but yes according to them it is possible. so we will just wait and see... Multiview apparently is also possible and I guess we will also wait for that to take place, I noticed they had something similar to that on channel 1213 for the olympics.. lets wait and see..

Common Bell, step up...Optik out west has had XBOX for a long timeand it also has multi-view. Anyone know if these features are coming to Fibe at some point?

hopefully soon, we are all waiting for new features, Optik has Multiview and call display, they use the same Mediaroom that Bell uses and they have so many more features then Bell... so lets keep our fingers crossed and see what happens soon...

For call display, if and when we get it, how likely is it to work with the dry loop thing ? (I have vonage for my phone)
I sure miss call display from when I had Bell Satellite TV :-)

Fibe Call Display will probably not work with VOIP.

From what I've seen with MTS which also runs Mediaroom, the Call Display info is sent directly from the Central Office Switch (eg. Nortel) to the Mediaroom Call Display Server. The Call Display message is sent as a data packet within Mediaroom to an app running on the STB. The call history is maintained on the Mediaroom server.

In other words, if your call doesn't go through the Bell switch, you won't see Call Display on your TV.

Hey everyone,

Would be nice to see Bell Fibe TV add some more new Features and Apps to what we currently have, It seems that they added what we have so far and they stopped...Comparing to Telus Optik TV Bell is way behind.
Optik TV has so many more Apps and Features and would be nice to see more stuff added to our Bell Fibe TV. The possibilities are there, all we need is to have them added, like Call Display, Multiview, and so forth. So anyone else feel that we should or are they happy with what is currently available?

Not having Telus Optik can someone show what features & Apps Telus Optik has compared to Bell so we all can see the differences?
I noticed on Bells APP they added

Galaxie Music has changeed somewhat.

I'm not sure what Teloses Fibe TV is called, but here;s my question.

I like that Auto Remote.That Music one looks interesting (not Galaxie but Radio stations one).Multiview appears to be ok, call display would be nice.
