Anyone connect a STB using powerline ethernet?

A friend of min was getitng FibeTV installed yesterday. His modem is in the basement and he wants tv in his bedrrom 2 floors up. He does not have coax or ethernet in that room. Short of drilling a hole through his wall from the outside which he does not want to do, has anyone hooked up STB using those ethernet powerline kits? Do you guys think it woudl be too flaky?

Ethernet on STB's

Yeah the ethernet does work on the STB's and the speeds are great just as if you were connected directly to the modem itself, and it does not degrade the picture quality of the tv side..

I been using it towatch Netflix through my Bluray player connected to the STB

Powerline Ethernet

The speeds on this technology vary from the different manufacturers. As Fibe is installed by Bell only, I doubt they'll install it for you. Test the throughput before calling for the install and have them install the box in another room or let them cable for you.
