2007 NFL Broadcast Glitches In Canada - Week 2

I'm getting picture stuttering in the Colts-Titans game on CBSHE 817 on BEV. With about 6 minutes left in the game, it froze for about 30 seconds.

What I really liked was CTV keeping their TSN Sportscentre simsub on the Buffalo CBS even though the Buffalo game was over.

Simsub was dropped just as the Indy-Ten game ended (which Im assuming was joined immediately after the Bills game was over). Would have been nice to see the last couple of minutes of the game. CTV hasnt figured out how to rejoin properly yet, is almost always coming back mid-sentence in the CBS broadcast. (hate to say it, but Global was light years ahead of CTV in this respect)

Also wish OMNI 2 would pick a spot for its bug and stick with it. Although its in an unique spot right now, 1/3rd of the way down on the right side.

Guess the Heidi rule applies as well, as SN is sticking with the Jays. (could be interesting when baseball playoffs start, as they do play on Sundays dont they? and SN has the playoff rights)

Post DAL-MIA Game - OMNI 2 Simsub looks terrible (Rogers)

Does anyone else think that the visual quality of the DAL-MIA game (NFL Week 2) is really bad? I see that OMNI 2 put their little symbol in the top right... FOX sports broadcasts usually look much better.

I think it's a WBZ problem. Even the SD Cancom version on Rogers NB had a few stutters and drops.

Don't forget to add to the log, once it's confirmed that indeed the issue is due to a simsub.

Simsub Log

Note the proper format in post 1 of that thread and note the proper contacts for complaints. If you don't do a proper, polite complaint to the appropriate parties, these issues will continue.

Here's my two:
1. Why does EVU have ALL its stations showing ONE game? Any why is that team Buffalo for the past two weekends.
2. Last week during the GB-PHI game, the CDN simsub (SportsNet?) cut away before the winning field goal with a minute left in the game! Then, of course, the original US feed was the 5 PM Cdn simsub.

I think that these are are two things that the NFL should be aware of:
a) hard to build fans for one team
b) hard to build fans when the biggest part of the game is lost.

Let's hope it gets better.

Why were you not watching this game on channel 822? Channel 817 ALWAYS has freezes for live sporting events (especially football). I tuned in "just for fun" at the begining of the game and got 2seperate freezes on a single play.

Unless you have no choice, don't use channel 817.

Bronco vs Raiders game on Fox HD / Shaw

What is just me yesterday or was the Fox HD terrible? Lots of pixelation, jumping picture and just overall poor video quality throughout the game. Other HD channels seemed ok. Looking for confirmation from others.

Yep, noticed it. Audio drop outs and some strange picture freezes. It was on CBSWHD. The Fox affiliate runs all the Seahawks games.

CTV promised that they will show different games regionally but since their headquaters are in Toronto, the center of the universe, the network is now the official canadian carrier of the Buffalo Bills.
