Not sure how watchable this will be. Kickoff at Friday at 6:45 AM. Saturday's games are at 1 AM, 3AM, and 6 AM (big New Zealand versus South Africa!)

Canada's first match is 4 AM on Thursday.

TSN's taking the NBC Sports/NBCSN feeds this year. A bit of a downgrade and upgrade at the same time, as I guess TSN is less willing to have a full in-house studio show at this time of night (they did their own studio shows for 2015), but a U.S. broadcaster is likely to put more effort in regardless.

It never ceases to amaze me how lazy TSN is when it comes to broadcasting sports versus their American / British / Australian counterparts.

I presume paying the additional cost to take NBC's feed for the RWC is still cheaper than doing their own studio programming. I'm sure I'm in the minority thinking it makes them look cheap, lazy, and like they don't actually give a toss about the sport.

On one hand it's unfortunate, on the other hand, the timing is horrific, with most matches starting between about 1 AM and 6 AM Eastern. Hopefully there'll be a bit of Can-con when Canada finally plays.

TSN did do their own in-studio 30-minute summary this afternoon.

They mentioned in today's summary show, that TSN would be provide in-studio coverage preceding the first Canada game. So tune in at 3:45 AM Eastern on Thursday!
