The best part of a Grey Cup is the Stampeder's horse galloping down the sidelines after each TD but Ottawa's venue doesn't have enough space. I hope there's room for heaters at the benches, given late November weather in the world's third coldest capital from November to March.

1988 was the first year two "western" teams played (teams west of Ontario) but Winnipeg still represented the east...

I don't get why they can't accommodate a horse somewhere for Calgary - they should have all the great traditions of the CFL from all teams at the Grey Cup.

They could bring in the Beer Snake from Winnipeg, Watermelons to wear on your head from Saskatchewan, Pigskin Pete from Hamilton, the Lumberjacks from Ottawa, empty seats from Toronto, and cheerleaders with too much make-up from Montreal.

I use to work with a guy that claimed that in the 1970's you could bring in a whole case of beer, or a full cooler of alcohol into CFL games in Montreal and Ottawa. I'm curious if this was true. His claim is that the restriction on bringing in your own alcohol killed the CFL.

True! I used to bring beer in a cooler that held 8 cans into Landsdowne Park during Ottawa Rough Rider games! Also, used the same cooler at some Expos games at the Big O as well!

Enjoyed the game - but found it funny that the CBC Toronto News didn't mention that the Argos won until 30 minutes into the 6 O'clock news yesterday.

Also, why do other CFL or Toronto teams get parades, where the Argos just get a ceremony at City Hall?

When the Argos won in 2012 (against Calgary, no less), I was in Toronto and they did have a parade. It was short and with not that many participants but a parade nevertheless.

It's PR. 100 people in a small room is a crowd. In a large room it would be described as badly attended. Perception.
