They switched to the true FOX feed at 4:37 on Shaw YYC. Which incidentally seems to be 5 seconds behind the CTV feed.

Bell switched over during the last commercial break at 6:35pm ET. We're watching FOX now.

Here Getting FOX **and** CTV bugs.

Picture looks good. Sound is deplorable. I started watching just prior to half time to
catch that part of the show. Sound improved markedly.

Game back on.

During my entire time watching from then to now, I've been seeing Bell commercials for their services and CTV programming. And this is continuing during the game.

Can't say I've seen any advertisements that have been specifically American.

And as I type this, an add for Nissan had a nissan.ca at the bottom...
And now a CIBC banking ad...

Something tells me their is going to be a few phone calls to the CRTC tomorrow....

Game audio is roughly 6dB lower than the ads... interesting....

@CamDAB it seems you are watching the CTV feed. You have to watch the FOX feed if you want the American ads.

I've seen lots of ads for Mark's Pizza in Rochester, U.S. medical clinics, T_Mobile and lots of other useless stuff.

Doh!! (I really watch so little TV that seriously I missed that very important detail...)

(smashes head against the wall..... :-) )

That fixed it!

(*that* was a major blunder...)

WOW! What an experience Super Bowl LI was tonight!

1st U.S. ads Super Bowl broadcast in Canada delivered, with the Patriots winning the 1st ever OT game in the history of the event, and Tom and Bill winning their 5th SB titles in their careers!

That's the best thing I've ever been a party to in terms of TV in this country, and I hope this is the impetus to the final execution of the simsub policy.

I'll get the shovel to bury it! XD

All in all, a beautiful evening of NFL football here in Canada!

Will be interesting to see how low CTV's Super Bowl rating is compared to previous years when it comes out and how CTV will spin it in their press release.

Jackbauer are you saying that Shaw shows the American Super Bowl not the Canadian station?

Apparently, people were saying that the contest CTV was running to "attract" viewers was a glitchy mess.

@Bayguy if your friend was watching a Canadian service like Shaw Direct, he may have seen a Canadian ad directed at Canadians.

I doubt Air Canada would spend $5 million for a national U.S. Super Bowl ad, but they may have bought a local ad for one local affiliate in California. They fly regularly to about a dozen airports in California and may have been trying to attract local Californians travelling to Canada.

No my friend was in California watching a California station. He lives near me. He doesn't have Cdn sattellite. He was watching Fox. Did any body else see it? Maybe it was just on the SF station.

Air Canada may have bought a local ad on the SF affiliate - they have over a dozen flights a day from that airport.
