Space is available a la carte on Bell? Perhaps in Quebec, but surely not elsewhere?

I believe your right. I believe that a la carte is only available in Quebec at the moment.

I have Space "a la carte" via Videotron so I can cancel/swap it at anytime.

BTW, this topic is the first question answered in their FAQ so they are clearly aware of our desires. If you really want to get them to spend the money on an HD channel we need to hit them in the wallet (cancel). Until then, they are in no rush.

Whoops, forgot about that...

For programming questions or comments, email [email protected]

So I just sent them an email explaining why I was dropping their channel, I am sure the recipient will be laughing at me but regardless, why should I continue to pay for their crappy SD quality shows and movies. It is 2010, not 2002, and HDTVs are a standard, so why not the HD channels?

You won't miss anything by dropping the channel. There are many other sources for this programing... even some legal ones.

Thanks for the email. We can say that we are planning on making a move to HD. It is happening but there’s still no date to give you. Thank you for your interest in SPACE.
Space/CTVglobemedia's response to my email. I would bet $20 that SpaceHD will arrive by 2012, just in time for the end of the world...

This is not much different than the response I got to the same question in 2007. Don't hold your breath.

I just noticed that WFN, the World Fishing Network is now available in HD with Rogers. That is just great for fisherman, but not so great for viewers of Space.
