They never actually say it is available on every BDU. All they say is "contact your provider" so its really not misleading or anything.

Bell isn't the only guilty party here. I'm sure the owners of HGTV HD and History Television HD are just as actively doing everything to keep their channels off Bell. As stated by others here anyone who wants Space HD on their service should be letting their BDU know about it as "loudly" as possible. Otherwise it will seem as if there is no interest.

Why would Shaw want to keep HGTV HD and History HD off Bell or any other provider or vice versa for Bell and Space HD? It doesn't make financial sense at all. In fact Shaw, Bell, and Rogers should be trying to get their channels on as many providers as possible so they can increase their profits, the problem is negotiating with each other isn't easy it seems.

Time to discontinue the comments that one provider does not want the channels owned by another provider etc etc. Competition is strong between the providers and it really is to their disadvantage to not take a channel when available. The main reasons continue to be......lack of bandwidth.....cost and subscriber interest. Despite the number of forum members calling for more HD we still remain a minority with the majority quite satisfied with their SD broadcasts.

i am boycotting the SD channel on Telus until they get the HD one and i would suggest most people do. We as Canadians are ripped off when it comes to HD channels. Might just broker a directv sat

I'm sure nation wide we may be in the minority, but it would be interesting to see a break down of this trend. Just in my work place, a good age mix office environment, the only person who does not have HD does not have any TV.

Heh. Their site schedule and their press release lied about Blade Runner being in HD. Bell's EPG got it correct though.
