FYI is to be a rebrand of TwistTV and Crime + Investigation is to be a rebrand of MysteryTV. No word yet on whether or not these channels will be available in HD on launch date.

In US, FYI is the new bio.(Poor Rogers, another Canadanized Channel lost it's origional Channel) and CI had been a long term A&E Channel.

Not surprising at all... And What next? A&E had 3 more channel which is yet to have a Canadaized Channel: Military History, Lifetime Real Women, and LMN(Lifetime Movie Netowrk).

Mystery was just a filler channel without any original programming, so aside from the convenience of being able to catch up on missed shows, the real "mystery" was how it lasted so long.

I don't really pay attention to Twist TV content, but any content that doesn't fit with the "rebrand" can be passed on to other Shaw channels (I think Kendra On Top began on Twist TV, but then was soon rerun on Slice).

Do we really need a second A&E kind of channel? There is too many crime on TV already. Do we really need more crime on TV? It's all we see these days.

I guest they can re-brand the current A&E to "The 48hrs Channel", it's pretty much the only show they air all day long.

At least Mystery is airing fictional shows and not reality tv just like a billion other channels.

Go for it. While you're at it, give me the option to remove all of them from my bill. :P

There's maybe 20 channels that don't suck. Maybe.

True,I'd rather watch reruns of a scripted show instead of reality shows.

FYI launches September 1

On September 1, Shaw Media’s leading portfolio of specialty brands expands with the launch of FYI, a contemporary lifestyle network reflecting how people actually live their lives today.

FYI offers an adventurous and personalized approach to peoples’ taste, space, look, story, and more. Its off-script format brings viewers a diverse mix of programs exploring lifestyle genres like design and romance, health and wellness, and food and fashion. The network embraces the way a new generation experiences their lives today, not defined by one passion or interest. Appealing to an upscale audience, FYI is creating inspired entertainment with a younger, more modern sensibility.

Anchoring the network’s debut is the premiere of the mouth-watering series Epic Meal Empire, featuring Canada’s own viral comedy troupe, Epic Meal Time. With over 600 million views and six million YouTube subscribers, Montréal’s Harley Morenstein (aka the “Sauce Boss”¬) and his kitchen crew deliver mind-blowing spins on food preparation, from whiskey-laced, burger-stuffed lasagna to donut casseroles. Epic Meal Empire airs Mondays at 10pm/10:30pm ET/PT beginning September 1. #EpicMealEmpire

From food to fashion, B.O.R.N. To Style leads the network’s Tuesday night lineup with a fresh lifestyle makeover program centred around a fierce, fashion foursome from New York and their larger-than-life boss, Jonathan Bodrick. Set in Bodrick’s eclectic Harlem-based boutique, B.O.R.N. (borrowed, old, refurbished, and new), the sassy style superheroes provide their expertise to those in dire need of a fashion fix. B.O.R.N. To Style airs Tuesdays at 9pm ET/PT beginning September 9. #BORNtoStyle

FYI’s Tuesday night lineup also includes the extreme social experiment, Married at First Sight, which follows six singles yearning for lifelong partnership as they agree to a provocative proposal – getting legally married the moment they meet their match. The couples are paired by four specialists – sexologist, Dr. Logan Levkoff; spiritualist, Greg Epstein; psychologist, Dr. Joseph Cilona; and sociologist, Dr. Pepper Schwartz – who use a scientific method of matchmaking to create three perfect couples. Each episode follows the newlyweds as they explore their newfound love, and after several weeks together each couple will decide to remain together or separate. Married at First Sight airs Tuesdays at 10pm ET/PT beginning September 2. #MarriedAtFirstSight

Other FYI features include The Feed (Mondays at 9pm ET/PT), a deliciously inventive series exploring the juiciest food topics of today with three distinctly opinionated hosts: Canadian food expert, Gail Simmons; rock star super-chef, Marcus Samuelsson; and comedian and food blogger, Max Silvestri. The network’s mid-week lineup features Red Hot Design (Wednesdays at 9pm ET/PT), a series following Shasta Smith, a talented artist and interior designer, who turns architectural artifacts and vintage salvage in to incredible home fixtures for an array of demanding clients. Following Red Hot Design is Tiny House Nation (Wednesdays at 10pm ET/PT), a new series celebrating extreme downsizing with a team of experts building the most innovative spaces under 300 square feet. FYI’s full show schedule is coming soon and will be available at FYItv.ca.

As part of the network’s September 1 launch, the new lifestyle channel will be available as a free preview to Rogers Digital customers from September 1 - 30, 2014. See local listings for more information. FYI comes to Canada following its global debut in July 2014 with A+E Networks in the U.S.

Full Press Release.

Note: FYI is a rebrand of TwistTV, so it will likely keep the same packaging as that channel.

Another useless channel from Shaw.Even after the rebrand. Why don't they put all the food related shows from Detour, FYI and other channels and put them on the Food Network.

They spread the programming around so people will pick more of their channels, like what Bell does.

That's the entire Canadian specialty TV business model: take two channels worth of content and put it on six channels.
