For some reason Shaw/Shaw Direct do not think "the Score HD" is that important a channel. They have told me that currently have "other US channels" that will be added to their limited available capacity and that the Score HD is currently a low priority. I use to watch this channel a lot in HD when I had Bell but it is pretty much ignored now by me as I'm sure by many other HD users as well.

Why they would add "The Big Ten Network" before this channel just bewilders me.

The Big Ten Network is a hell of a lot cheaper to offer than the Score which might be the reason.

Hey folks, tried to use search but I couldnt find anything into this. Any idea of when SC would be getting Score HD or if anything is in the pipeline? Arguably my fav HD channel and potentially the deal breaker of me finally leaving Rogers.

Don't hold your breath, I was told through "Ask Jim" (http://www.shawdirect.ca/english/contactus/ask_jim.asp) that "the Score HD" is low on the priority of HD channels to come in the future. I use to watch this channel a lot with Bell TV. Now that I have Shaw Direct it is pretty much ignored by me now for TSNHD/TSN2HD, SportsNetHD and also CBCHD with the hockey playoffs on. I wish more people would complain about this, maybe it would move up the ladder in priority if they did. I understand some people appreciate the Big Ten Network and the Golf channel in HD but it blows my mind that they would show up before theScore. I also e-mailed theScore about this and they said it is out of their hands and that they know Shaw Direct has limited channel space.

Any idea if Al Jazeera English will be added?

al jazeera is on the galaxy 19 satellite for free anyway, all you need is a free to air receiver and a dish between 80cm and 1 meter depending how far north of the american border you are. i believe the feed is from london, england though.

Don't think the CRTC has approved it yet for distribution in Canada.
Do you think the BBC is trash too? All AlJazeera English is is an International news network. It's coverage is on par with that of BBC World and CNN.

Have you ever watched it? Well I imagined the same when I listened to reports about 9/11. That was the Arabic version.

The English version is based out of Washjington and after watching, it is the most balanced IMO. It is now my network of choice. What a turnaorund
