I have had the telephone rep comment that I have more that 6 registered. I have said please give me the numbers so we can delete them and she said nevermind. For example, I will register an old 505 to make sure it works and then I sell it and forget to unregister it.

One of the early 505s I bought used was still on the owners account (fully loaded with every channel available) and the rep said I could not switch it to my account. After a year, the original owner cancelled it and I was able to add it to my account. Meanwhile we watched a lot of stuff for free.

Did the original owner have to pay for your one year of viewing?

That is the danger of authorizing automatic debit/credit card payments and not checking the credit card details before paying the CC bill or checking the payments on the bank account.

Not a direct reply to the question.

If we own a second receiver, do we still have to pay the $4.99/mo multi-receiver fee??

It is $5.99 now, but the fee is waived if you subscribe to enough channels $.

As far as I know, the original owner was just divesting of the receivers and neglected to cancel the account until all were sold. I am pretty sure he did not pay anything extra.
