505 delivery times

I got the call on Monday July 8th about updating my DSR 500 to the 505. I was on vacation that week so I thought with any luck I'd have it by weeks end.

Still no sign of it yet.
Where do they ship them from anyway?

The Purolator driver that would deliver it to my home also delivers to where I work and is keeping an eye out for it so he can deliver it to me at work.

Is there a supply problem with them or is it just coming by bicycle.
I'll have to call them if I get billed for it before I receive the unit.

You wont proabably get billed until you activate the receiver but you should call in to obtain a tracking number and get *C to help track it down.

When I ordered my 505, they said it would take 7-10 days for it to ship, it was here in 4 days.

Mine took 4 days as well. Unfortunately, I wasn't home at delivery time, and the round trip to the Purolator depot at the airport took over an hour....

Mine arrived in Toronto in less than 7 days. This was a few months ago.

Talked to a CSR last night, said that they had the request on file and that I should get it "any day now". "Sometimes it takes a while for them to arrive".
Three weeks?

I'm not in any hurry or anything, just wanted to make sure it didn't go missing.
The CSR that I talked to seemed to be unsure about my address though.
He asked me twice about my service address and then my mailing address - they're the same. I'll be willing to bet that the old mailing address popped up on his computer - just to confuse the issue.

Anyway, he said he'd put a rush on it.
We'll see.

lol a rush :P. They should be able to provide tracking for the package. If they can't you've obviously reached the Mississauga call center. They sure are still green.

Arrived today, shipped July 30.

I guess someone forgot to ship it three weeks ago.

Now comes the fun part - the activation.

I confirmed my upgrade with Stachoice on July 26, received both DSR505's via Canada Post today (August 3).
