DSR Downloading

Today when I turned on my TV, I got a message on my screen saying " Your DSR is downloading the latest software and this may take two hours. You will not be able to use this receiver" What is this all about, it is 5pm my time and why would Shaw do this at this time? I have a HDDSR 800 which is 1 month old now. Do I have to be on a specific channel for the upload? Thanks in advance.
