I understand the 6xx receivers are capable of a one coax scheme similar to DirecTV SWiM.
You need a special multiswitch/hub.

I don't they will make any non dvr unit with with component, or maybe even component at all.
LED display and RF remote is wait and see.

My bet is Motorola branding is gone. From now on, you get Arris brand boxes, and likely they are getting in a shipment of Arris DSR600 and DSR630s. Hopefully they come with newer than 2010 remotes, with more recent TVs and sound systems.

I agree. I have only two lines left on my multiswitch so I'm down to choosing the 600 if I want to add two rooms. So no PVR function for them.
I am out of room on my multiswitch. I currently have 2 - 630's, and 4 600's and wanted to add a 3rd PVR and get rid of a 600. Shaw Direct told me another multiswitch can be added. So if you want another PVR, there's always that option.

If someone actually has it working, they can confirm in that thread.

Yes but at extra cost for the switch and installation not to mention ongoing extra power cost. I also have the the home away thing for my rv and it was a pain running that extra coax for the 630.

Thanks, i hope i dont have to do that again (adding a switch) but Its not about making it work at any cost and more about hoping for a hardware option that does not double the cost for infrastructure. The switch and wiring will cost more than the new pvr.

Not a rant, I really am happy with my home system and the rv, its just the wall you hit at 4 pvrs.

You want new hardware and they can't seem to make the ones they have now run properly. Look how many people are complaining about the 600,05 & 30 there's threads dedicated to complaints for each one.

Its not about "working", it is about feature catchup with other providers, particularly whole home DVR, and one wire DVR. Not too sure what else is of core importance to them or customers.

All four of my 630's work perfectly. It's just the dual cables that irk me. As I noted.
