Why is Newfoundland so special when even PEI is available free as are a bunch of Atlantic stations?
This will be fixed tomorrow - I had something missing in the Guide backend. Sorry about that.

@k801809 , The Halifax Chronicle Herald TV Guide also lists the "old" Standard Def. channel numbers for both classic and advanced. I'm sure many other newspapers across Canada do the same. The Herald TV Guide can be reached at 902-426-2811 or [email protected].

@NovaMan All newspapers that I'm aware of just subscribe to one of the TV guide services. The Halifax Chronicle Herald loads the data from TV Passport, so once their guide data is updated, all the newspapers that use their service will also be updated.

Only Show HD in Guide

Hi all.

I am now on the National Channel guide. After a day or 2, it makes sense.

There are a lot of CTV2 channels listed now that I never ventured up to before because I only ever browsed the HD channels. I did notice many have since converted to HD which is good, but some are still SD. Is there a way to only show HD channels in the guide, similar to the way we can only show subscribed to. Or do I have to do a fully customized list?

Thanks

You will have to go into settings and hide the SD channels ie customized list. I would wait til Wednesday afternoon has 8 of them will become HD by then. There will be one more in Oct, CTV2 Alberta will convert to HD on or around Oct 16th.

Free to whom? I don't get NTV or any Atlantic stations.

You may not have the time shift package that would include NTV, being that you are in Edmonton.

Are the CBC and CTV HD news channels still set to move to an F satellite next week? Any chance TVO HD will get moved as well?

Does anyone know what time of day the lineup switchover occurs? It looks like ours is scheduled for Sept 17th according to the email we received. Will it occur overnight?

Too bad about TVO and Newfoundland’s Superchannel ( hehe), NTV. Those are two channels that would be nice to have while traveling south of the Hollywood line...

Well the old SD channels will go away from the guide eventually right? It would be silly to have a whole bunch of the guide forever that says "This channel is no longer available" or whatever it says.

k8:

We got the email yesterday but it only had a link to Classic comparison. There was no way to know how to find the Advanced comparison but luckily the ppl here had posted it a long time ago so we already have it. If Shaw can't tell when ppl have Advanced how about putting two links in the email so they can pick the right one?

I got the same email this week with the link to classic comparison only. I used to be on advanced but I also chose to switch to National when it first came out so the email is generic is going to everyone regardless as to whether they opted in early or have advanced. I agree a link to both comparisons would be a improvement but a targeted email should have been possible based on Classic or Advanced.
