Model 60E Satellite Dish Not Giving Adequate Signal

Hi.

If you recently purchased a Model 60E dish from someone on Kijiji or Craigslist, and you are unable to achieve an adequate signal of at least 80 on a clear day, CHECK THE LENGTH OF THE ARM SUPPORTING THE LNB!!!

It is supposed to be 17 3/4 inches (17.75").

I have come across two dishes in the last 3 years that had the wrong size.

The first was a 22" long arm (resulting in ZERO signal).

The second was just this week. A customer was complaining of very poor signal. Initially, he failed to tell me he had just bought the dish on Kijiji and had installed it himself. This dish had a 16" arm, and would not provide a signal greater than 50.

If you are going to build a Shaw 60E dish using spare parts, PLEASE USE THE CORRECT PARTS!!!
