A couple of the HD feeds are still on F2. Is there even SD Sunday Ticket channels this year?

And for me (with xKu LNB), I have 15 NHLCI HD channels on 161-175 (classic). So the extra 5 or 6 channels are on G1 only. So you'll probably be able to get most games without G1, but not all games.

However, there was talk that NFLST was going to remain on the old birds in SD for "legacy" customers, but that was scrapped so all 15 of those CI channels could be moved to G1 before the season starts. Either way, if you want access to all games on these packages, you're going to need G1.

2 years ago SD moved the standard def NHL CI channels to mpeg4 so you needed a 6xx receiver to watch them. They purposely left the HD channels as they were b/c they didnt want to lose the cash cow that is NHL CI. I assume they've done the same this year. Not enough people migrated to a 6xx receiver and new LNB would mean a lot of lost revenue. On the other hand, subbing to NHL CI is a great way to get a deal on newer receivers (well that's the nice way of describing the outdated 6xx receivers we're still using that have very limited capabilities and wrought with problems).

On that pdf, NFLST HD 6-14 and NHLCI HD 9-15 are marked as MPEG4 channels, which means they're on G1. So, yes, without G1 and a 6xx receiver you can watch 5 NFLST channels and 8 NHLCI channels (5xx receiver required). I doubt SD will discount the prices based on the number of channels you can actually access. To access all the games in these packages, you will need G1 + 6xx receiver.

Thanks for the replys. Just frustrated about all this.

Was it not last year in order to get the packages we had to get a 6xx series receiver ? I had to switchout 4 5xx receivers to 6xx receivers. Now this year i'm told i need new hardware to get the packages. Just getting the 6xx receiver is not good enough.

I hope next year we don't need a receiver change to get the packages.

Only deluxe. $50/mth for 4 months. For an extra $30 (one time charge), you can add the full season of NHL Centre Ice as well.
