What did the on screen notification look like for you? Nothing on mine.... yet.
Mine shows a Target version of 00.00.Current Version is 09.26. So I have the Cancel button highlighted and the download button grayed out. A CSR I talked to tonight, said that the PVR's will start receiving the download tonight. she said on Thursday the 600s will. Some people have already started to receive the update. So here to hoping we get it soon.

Can someone post screen shots?

Can you display more the 2 hours on the guide?

Cheers

yay! 630 targeted and d/l now! All receivers in one day!
I really like the look of the new guide- feels quicker too!
I noticed a 'back up option' for settings. If this is what we have been asking for- thank you SD! I have been waiting for a way to back up pvr lists and schedules (in case ) the box fails and resets with a pvr flush!

Is there a guide to the new guide? Any insiders know of any tricks they can now share?

It seems like the 605 and 630's are first in line (based on posts). The 600's may be later on this week. Only time will tell.

Right now it only shows 2 hours, unless you can change it somehow. I will see if I can post a picture later on.

How much flexibility is available is another thing, but most providers don't give you much, if any, flex.

The 600's will be targeted tomorrow morning after 2:30am, then the target line will change for the update to be downloaded. Today was for the 630's and yesterday was for the 605's.

Only guide I've found is the web site: www.shawdirect.ca/hdguide

Just upgraded my 605. First impression is that it looks very good compared to the old guide. I tested video on demand, and the controls (play, pause, rewind, fast forward) seem much more responsive than before. The screen for browsing video on demand titles is still slow to load though (I have 25mbps down, so it's not my connection). Video quality seems the same (which is quite good by my eye).

Biggest gripe is they haven't gotten rid of the silliness of how to watch free video on demand programs. When you see a free title in video on demand, you should be able to just hit play and have it start playing. Instead, you have to select the title, select whether you want SD or HD (shouldn't there be a way to have it select one by default?), then you have to confirm your order. I had hoped the upgrade would have fixed this, but they are still doing it. I'm not sure the purpose of verifying your order if it isn't costing anything to begin with. I understand for the titles that cost money, but not the free ones.

Upgrade took about 40-50 minutes to do.
