Switching from XKU to Dual

When switching a receiver from an XKU LNB set up to a Dual Quad set up, do we have to call for the v code, or can a factory reset be done, and then re-quest a re-hit from the Self Serve website OR the re-hit phone option??

I believe a phone call to Shaw is necessary.

Also, if the customer is "sharing", any other receivers on the account will be re-programmed to accept the DUAL, and will not work with an xKu LNB.

No sharing... They went from the XKU 75E to a 2 dish set up up here in Nunavut in order to get the HD programming. I've been told by my dealer that an XKU compatible after market LNB is en route

Two separate dishes, one for each satellite?

If so, what are you using for a switch?

What is Cost of new Shaw Triple LNB?

A Satellite dealer here in Winnipeg is charging $139.00 plus taxes for the new Shaw Triple LNB which we need to replace for my Neice's Friends and family Shaw direct LNB Service. Is that a good price since I've heard it should be priced around $80 - $90.00? Any replies would be much appreciated.

That price is absurd! PM me and I will sent you the name of my supplier and you can order through them. They sell the entire kit for 95$, dish mast LNB included.. LNB alone is half the price of what the Winnipeg dealer is charging. Shipping on the LNB wouldn't be any more than 10$

Thank you for the reply Danny001, the really disappointing thing is that this Sat Dealer first tried to sell me the LNB for $200.00!! Then they said that $139.00 was the best they could do. I will try to PM you.

@ mitigator

FYI A Shaw Dealer in Whitby Ontario sells the XKu LNB for $89.00 + HST

Danny001's $95 deal sounds to good to be true (unless the dish is a used one)

It is true and no used equipment.

I suggest you use the search engine of your choice with the key words 'satellite' and 'ku'. Pretty sure you will find the dealer mentioned by Danny001
