ASYNC TXD or SAT A/B

Just installed an old DSR205 to serve an old CRT TV.

Under Options - set up, there is a choice to be made: ASYNC TXD or SAT A/B.

What do these mean and does it make any difference?

It doesn't matter.

That is a relic of the firmware that applied to 1st generation receivers, which used an external tone generator that plugged into the serial port previously used for a computer data service.
