fatkev78, feel the same way,had CI scince it could be bought on the dish in Canada...not this year...to much $$$$. Between TSN, CBC, NBC and the regional coverage of Vancouver get about 130 games.

I wouldn't purchase either, but a local fellow from our small community north of Kingston plays on a western team. The only way I would ever get to see him play especially this year would be by purchasing Center Ice Package. I have absolutely no interest in watching the Leafs.

I don't see how they can offer that to you as it's only available in jet regions.

Why did they call you? Did you request a call from them for that? I've been a CI sub for the past 3 yrs or so and no call here. Just wondering. Leverage to get it cheaper if they call?

I can't speak for jccamp95,

But i spoke to an shaw rep last nite to clear up a billing problem. After that i asked about the CI package. She could not tell me much info on it, then she put me on a call list when it comes available.

I've not received that call yet but it sounds like they are doing it today.

I to have sub'd to CI the past three years.

I must be a highly valued customer LOL.
Guess its was because I subscribed to NFLST and NHLCI last year. They called me in sept to discuss NFLST.
I can speak to the Jets option, I was just repeating what the CSR offered me. It was a 2 minute call since I was not interested
I have also ordered PVP sports (MMA) and occasionally they will call to see if I want to order another match.

NHL® Centre Ice™ delivers nearly 600 out-of-market games from across the continent, keeping the most diehard fans satisfied. Customers in the regional broadcast areas of Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Nunavut, the Northwest Territories and Northwestern Ontario can also catch 38 games of the Winnipeg Jets' second regular season via TSN Jets. Both NHL Centre Ice and TSN Jets will be available on free preview until the end of January.

Following the preview period, NHL Centre Ice will be available for a special price of $49.99 for the full 2012-13 season - a significant savings over last year's half-season package. TSN Jets will be available for a subscription of $9.95 per month for customers in the Jets' regional broadcast areas.

Why is this posted on market wire website and nothing on the SD website yet? Kinda strange, although I believe the price will stick.

Edit: Just saw that on twitter @ShawDirect_News has confirmed that NHL CI on SD will be a one time payment of $49.99.

With tongue in cheek.....I think a decent bottle of whiskey or several bottles of red wine might be a better value.

Just got a courtesy call from SD as well asking if I want to add NHL CI to my package. He said they were calling everyone who has had it in the past since the wait times for call in are very long. Also said it could be broken down into 2 payments over 2 months instead of one lump sum.

Told him that thx but i'll wait till the free preview is over to make my decision and will just send them an email to add it if I don't want to wait on the phone. I also asked if GCL is included and he said he wasn't sure and there hadn't been any word on that as of yet. It will p1ss me off if this year GCL isn't included.

Shaw Cable does not have GCL included and I believe every other provider does not. It is 50 bucks for GCL at nhl.com
