DropcamPro question

Anyone using one of these?

I have two questions-- wifi bandwidth - does it tie up your home wifi?

and, do you use it to look out a window at night? Ive read that the nightvision reflects back on the window glass- any solutions?

Thanks,

Dan

I don't have dropcam but I have several other IP cameras. On (1) - it will use some bandwidth but likely only when you are watching it and it probably doesn't use a ton of bandwidth so it shouldn't be an issue unless you have a really low limit.

Regarding two that is tricky - I don't think there is a solution other than putting the camera outside - or an outdoor version of a camera.

You could get something like this - (I have a couple of these) http://foscam.us/outdoor-cameras/fos...amera-174.html There are cheaper models if you don't need pan and tilt.

Picked this up from Dropcam support :
We recommend a high speed internet connection with at least 0.5 Mbps of upload bandwidth dedicated to each Dropcam. Please keep in mind that other devices connected to the same network will use some upload bandwidth as well, so you'll likely need a bit more upload bandwidth to maintain a steady connection.
