It's a more recent video encoding technique, wich is about 50% more efficient.

I wonder will Bell pick up G4TVHD? It launched this past December in the states, but I assume theres probably some CRTC regulations blocking an HD channel in Canada at the moment? I'd like to watch E3 2009 in HD.

G4TechTV Canada would have to launch an HD feed, and I really don't see that happening with the state that channel is in.

I second the (or third... how many people out there???) opinion that Bell should be carrying SpeedHD. With Daytona coming up fast, and Speed covering the Twins/Duel at Daytona, as well as qualifying for NASCAR, SpeedHD would be GREAT! Rogers is carrying it... COME ON BELL!!

I wrote them asking about this and got the standard reply... "thank you for writing. we add channels... bla bla bla and we will pass your message along"

I can't wait to see if they'll add it.... come on, come on.

hi guys, i am new on this forum.

i am looking to get hdbox from bell soon, and was looking at some channels they offer.
if i buy rogers sportsnet hd, does it includes all pacific, west, east, ontario? or only regional feed ? (i live vancouver btw) TIA

btw, i just called bell and asked if i buy rogers sportsnet hd, do i get all those regional feed? and this person(a woman) goes "i dont have that information" so i asked is there any number i could call to find out? and the lady goes "no, just google it" WTF IS THAT LOL

so if you only get regional only, as for me pacific. how can u get all other ones?

Sportsnet's only fulltime HD channel is SNOntario on 851 but they often show pre and post hockey game shows on there other 4 HD SN feeds. These feeds on 846, 847, 852 and 872 are usually just a black screen.

got another question, so in order to have TSN HD you need to subscribe to sports1 digital package? is that true? if it is, how much is it for sports1 package?

Oddly enough, I think this may have changed. This morning I noticed that the names of the HD feeds for Sportsnet had changed. 851 is now listed as Sportsnet HD-Ontario. 852 is now Sportsnet HD-Pacific. Both were airing Connected this morning and the program guide showed a full slate of programming on 851 ans 852. The other feeds are showing as SN-West and SN East, though they are still info screens when there isn't regional HD programming to show.

I'm sure hockey games will still be blacked out though.
