LMAO! No, I just want MSNBC as a new station. Not an HD station, just a regular one. News stations should be amongst the last to be moved to HD.

The 1st part of my post was about HD.

Matthews sweating on camera in HD... YIKES!

I have often wondered when MSNBC would be available much like TCM and AMC but according to Bell all of those channels are under contract to the cable companies only allthough I think all those channels are on Star Choice are they not? Also I hope Bell puts a stop to adding ANY MORE canadian HD locals/nets untill after we get alot more specialty channels first. Just my two cents

I would really like to see the switch to MPEG 4 so the quality would increase, but if we need quantity, then I wouldn't mind seeing CNNHD (for the very few news things I watch), Comedy HD and Family HD launch.

Turner Classic Movies

I have written two letters to Bell Express Vu requesting the addition of "TCM" only to have them reply with their standard form letter advising that my request was forwarded to the marketing branch. My brother in law is going to choose Star Choice simply because TCM is available on that service. I'm surprised that BEV doesn't involve it's cutomers in either new channel selection or in making customers aware of what channels Express Vu is considering adding to complement either the current SD or HD channel line up. How novel would that be? Does Bell read these forums or does anyone out there have any insight in possible current channel additions, either SD or HD?

That is simply untrue. TCM, AMC and MSNBC are in not involved in any 'cable only' contracts. Bell has just chosen not to carry them (for unknown reasons).

We have TCM at our apt. in Toronto, but we have Bell-Tv at home.... anyone know why Bell doesn't have TCM? it's all we watch at home, it's a great channel and I think it can't be exclusive to Rogers.. anyone know if it is?
thanks

Look up 4-5 posts. It is not exclusive to Rogers. Bell has chosen not to carry it.

I am on the verge of switching to Bell and am curious as to the timeline for MPEG 4? If I sign up now will the receivers they give me be ready for this when ever it happens?

All the current HD receivers (6131, 6141, 9141, 9242) are MPEG4 capable, but no one knows when Bell might start the switch over.
