3 New Apple Products: All About iMac Pro, iPad Pro and HomePod

Whether you’re in the market for an extremely powerful new PC, a tablet to let your creativity soar or a smart speaker, Apple has it all.

Apple has announced the release of 3 new products recently, including some of the most powerful stuff it’s ever made. Here’s a peak at what the new workstation, tablet and smart speaker have to offer.

iMac Pro

The iMac Pro is the most powerful Mac Apple has ever made. Described on the Apple website as an “entirely new workstation-class product line designed for pro users with the most demanding workflows,” this one is a super computer.

As Wired.com stated, it’s as if Apple made the computer to make a statement, reassuring us that the company does still care about PCs.

The whole package is going to be sold starting at $5000 USD, and has a lot to offer professionals, especially those interested in creating virtual reality content.

Here’s a run down: the all-new iMac Pro comes with a 27-inch Retina 5K display, up to 18-core Xeon processors and up to 22 Teraflops of graphics computation.

With a new space gray enclosure, 80 percent more cooling capacity, next-generation Intel Xeon processors up to 18 cores, it’s ready to go for advanced graphics editing, virtual reality content creation and real-time 3D rendering.

Other notable features include a 27-inch Retina 5K display with support for 1 billion colors, a new Radeon Pro Vega GPU, 22 Teraflops of performance and up to 4TB of SSD and up to 128GB of ECC memory.

Four Thunderbolt 3 ports mean users can connect with up to two high-performance RAID arrays and two 5K displays at the same time. 10Gb Ethernet is also available for up to 10 times faster networking. Wow.

The iMac Pro will be shipping in December, 2017. For more info, check out Apple online.

iPad Pro

Yesterday, Apple introduced both the all-new 10.5-inch iPad Pro and 12.9-inch iPad Pro.

The two are said to feature “the world’s most advanced display with ProMotion technology and incredible performance with the new A10X Fusion chip”.

Apple’s most powerful iPads will come with ProMotion, the new A10X Fusion chip, the camera system of iPhone 7, increased responsiveness in the Apple Pencil, antireflective coating and all-day battery life.

They will also include deeper integration with Apple Pencil, a new customizable Dock that provides quick access to frequently used apps and documents from any screen and improved multitasking with a redesigned app switcher.

Users will enjoy a new Files app that can keep everything in one place, Multi-Touch Drag and Drop that’s available across the system allowing users to move text, photos and files from one app to another, anywhere on the screen, and a new document scanner in Notes, which lets users scan single or multi-page documents.

Apple says that these new tablets are coming this fall. For more information, click here.

If you’re in the market to smarten up your home, Apple’s Home Pod is a product you’ll want to pay attention to. It’s a smart speaker that can play music and also answer questions, make calls and control your smart home appliances and features.

It’s Apple competitor to the Amazon Echo and Google Home, and is going to be sold for almost twice the price, clocking in at $349 USD.

Of note, according to online sources, the speaker has better sound quality than it’s competition.

The HomePod will be launching in the U.S, the UK and Australia this coming December.
