New Macbook Pros on the way….

This October 27th, Apple is hosting a Mac event in Cupertino, to be streamed live . The action will begin at 10AM PT / 1PM ET, and rumours abound as to what it’s all about.

Reports say the tagline on the invite reads ‘hello again’. Since the first Mac, which was introduced back in 1984, was brought to us with the word ‘hello’, it seems fitting that more are now on the way.

But more of what, exactly? The rumours indicate that new MacBook Pros are in the pipeline.

Apple sells a basic MacBook Pro that has remained the same in design and conception since June of 2012. And the Retina MacBook Pro was last updated over a year ago, and so changes are due.

Those in the know say that the new MacBook Pro could likely sport an all-in-one USB-C port like the one found on the 12-inch MacBook. It may also come with an OLED touch control bar placed above the keyboard that will work to usefully display function keys for users.

This MacBook Pro will also be thinner, with a flatter keyboard, rumours say.

According to online reports, Apple is also getting ready to release new features on the iPad that will cater to professional users, as well as new Mac laptops and desktops.

A standalone monitor that can connect to its computers is also said to be in development. This is in collaboration with LG Electronics. The new monitor would replace Apple’s discontinued 27-inch thunderbolt display with a high-resolution “5K” screen, according to sources.

The iPad’s updates, which should be on the way in sometime in 2017, will include wider operating-system support for the stylus, and hardware improvements. Stay tuned.
