Longo’s & Unata Add New Digital Shopping Apps

Longo’s Fruit Markets and digital marketing firm Unata have launched a suite of mobile apps to improve in-store shopping experience.

Longo’s shoppers can now create a shopping list from the store’s product catalogue, with access to prices and specials by using the Longo’s iPhone app, Android app or website.

Using the app or existing account log-in, shoppers may sign up to the Longo’s Thank You Rewards program, which gives access to their points balance and displays their loyalty card on the phone to earn points at checkout.

Once logged in, shoppers will see previous purchases (to help edit their shopping list), a personalized flyer, items on sale and a rating function to rank previously purchased products and earn reward points in the process.

“We know our customers expect more from us. They come to us expecting the freshest produce, highest quality meats, oven fresh bakery products & exceptional customer service. With an increasing number of our customers now carrying a smartphone, we wanted to partner with a company that could maintain our high standards as we extend our shopping experience to their mobile phone,” said Ken Kuschei, Longo’s Director of Consumer Insights.
