BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10 Gaining Market Support

North American companies continue to show support for BlackBerry 10 and its enterprise management platform, BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10 (BES 10).

BlackBerry reports that several major enterprise customers are currently testing, adopting or continuing to use the mobility platform including Canadian Tire Corporation, ING DIRECT, Ingram Micro, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Ricoh Canada and Torys LLP.

The New York City Department of Information Technology and Telecommunications (DOITT) recently said it will deploy 2,000 BlackBerry 10 smartphones this summer, with BES 10 serving “as a key component to our enterprise mobility strategy.”

Also, BMO Financial Group, which serves more than 12 million customers throughout North America, has signed on with BlackBerry.

“We are placing BlackBerry 10 orders with our North American carriers,” said Claudette McGowan, Vice President, Digital Workspace Services, BMO Financial Group. “BlackBerry remains our enterprise standard and we’ve begun deploying within our environment.”

The launch of the BlackBerry Q10 in both Canada and the UK at the beginning of May has garnered strong sales so far and that momentum is expected to continue when the smartphone is released by US carriers Verizon, Sprint and T-Mobile in June.

BlackBerry fans in Toronto can score a free Blue Jays jersey with the purchase of a brand-new BlackBerry Q10 or Z10 smartphone on select 3-year plans from Rogers. Also, baseball fans should visit the Rogers location at 10 Dundas St. E. on Friday May 24 between 12 noon to 1 PM to meet and get an autograph from Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Brandon Morrow.
