Grocery Gateway Goes Mobile

If you want to order your groceries on your iPhone, Grocery Gateway now has an app for that.

Shoppers may order groceries using the new iPhone app or mobile web app, which is compatible to most BlackBerry and Android devices, by visiting GroceryGateway.com.

Longo’s, owner of the online grocery delivery service, reports that it is the first Canadian mobile app to support grocery delivery, allowing shoppers to easily create orders, view previously purchased items, select a delivery time, and securely checkout with any credit card.

“Our shoppers have been asking for mobile applications to make shopping easier, and we felt the solution provided by Unata which leverages leading edge technology to deliver a personalized experience was the right fit for Longo’s,” said Ken Kuschei, Longo’s Director of CRM.

Unata, based in Toronto, provides the digital marketing platform which connects to Grocery Gateway’s computer systems and uses customer data such as transaction history to provide a seamless shopping experience. Similarly, the store may send targeted offers and messages to the customer.
