Mobilicity plans to extend its unlimited network west of Toronto into Milton, Oakville, Burlington and Hamilton in response to growing demand for its affordable, unlimited talk, text and data service.

The growing mobile carrier said it will also widen the network east of Toronto with planned launches in Pickering, Ajax, Whitby and Oshawa.

The plans for Ottawa include building out the network in Barrhaven, Orléans and Cumberland.

Now it’s time to expand outward and bring Mobilicity’s smart, affordable wireless service to more Canadians than ever.”

The Mobilicity team is also finalizing plans to extend its unlimited network within the Greater Vancouver Area to include White Rock, Pitt Meadows and the Richmond-Surrey commuter corridors.

Residents of In Edmonton, AB will be pleased to know that Mobilicity is expanding around St. Albert to the north and southward to the airport. The network updates will soon be reflected on the carrier’s coverage map.

Mobilicity also announced it wants to help Canadians get out of their wireless contracts without incurring unfair, punitive early contract termination fees. How?

The company has applied for Official Holiday Status of National Break Your Wireless Contract Day.

Upgrading its HSPA+-enabled network to 4G is another major item on the the 2012 agenda. The upgrade will mean download speeds of up to 21Mbps, enabling customers full usage and performance of the latest 4G smartphones.
