Primus Canada expands VoIP service area

Primus Canada today announced a major expansion of the area served by its Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) telephone services.

The company says its VoIP services are now available in an additional 240 exchanges across Canada, specifically in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario and Quebec.

Marketed under the name “Talkbroadband,” Primus offers four levels of VoIP service starting from $16.35 per month up to $35.35 per month.

This is Primus’ second major VoIP announcement this year. In April, Primus announced the acquisition of Unlimitel, a Quebec based provider of VoIP and Internet services.

The expanded footprint of exchanges means the Primus Talkbroadband service is now available to four million more Canadians.
