Neverland Mini-series airs on Space HD beginning this Sunday

Neverland, a British adventure/fantasy miniseries shot in Ireland and Italy, will air on Space and Space HD in Canada beginning this Sunday night.

The series is a prequel to the Classic Peter Pan story and stars Rhys Ifans as James Hook, Bob Hoskins as Smee, Charlie Rowe as Peter Pan, and Keira Knightley as the voice of Tinker Bell.

The series takes place in 1906 London where orphan Peter Pan is one of a gang of juvenile street thieves assembled by arch crook and ace fencer James ‘Jimmy’ Hook. When Jimmy scores a major job, the ever-willing-to-please Peter convinces the other boys to pull off the heist themselves in order to impress Jimmy. However, the job takes an unexpected turn, when the theft of a magical orb sees them all whisked to an uncharted world full of forbidding mountains and crocodile-infested seas, a world where time literally stands still: Neverland.

Broadcast in Standard and high definition, the four-hour miniseries will
be broadcast over two-nights on Space and Space HD beginning Sunday, Dec. 18th at 8 p.m. ET.

The show aired earlier this month in the United States on the Syfy network where it drew 2.6 million viewers on opening night and received tepid reviews from critics.
