Sirius Canada and XM Canada are playing scrooge this year and NOT broadcasting the ever popular “Holiday Traditions” Channel. The US side is carrying it on Channel 154. This channel up until last year was a very popular seasonal addition to the seasonal lineup and played non stop classic music from Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Brenda Lee, Perry Como etc etc.

A number of calls and emails to Sirius Customer Care for an explanation were not returned.

It would appear that some programming exec decided that we should all enjoy the contemporary christmas music on ch 17 (Holly) . So inbetween hours of listening to the likes of Justin Beiber and the gang they throw in a “token” golden oldy.

Thanks for nothing Sirius. Internet Radio is looking better all the time.
