CTV in Montreal now broadcasting Over-the-Air in HD

This past Friday at 2:00pm, CTV’s new Over-the-Air (OTA) transitional Digital Television transmitter in Montreal became operational.

CFCF-DT, channel 51 and virtual channel 12.1, is the high definition version of Montreal top rated English language television.

“We are enormously proud to deliver this service to our viewers.” said Don Bastien, Senior Vice-President and General Manager, CTV Montréal.

Including CFCF-DT, CTV now has four Over-the-Air HD stations transmitting in Canada. The others are in Toronto, Vancouver which began operating in 2005, and Calgary, which went on air in 2009.
