Kobo Wireless eReader gets access to Bell’s Wi-Fi network

Kobo Books announced today that users of its Wireless eReader will now have unlimited access to Bell’s Wi-Fi network at any one of Bell’s approximately 800 Wi-Fi network hotspot locations across Canada.

To use the service, users just navigate to the Kobo Store area on their Wireless eReader and they will automatically be connected.

Unlike the popular Kindle wireless eReader, the Kobo device does not offer a web browser so online activities are restricted to shopping for and downloading eBooks and digital magazines and newspapers.

Kobo began selling the WiFi enabled ebook reader in October. IN addition to WiFi connectivity, the reader offers faster performance; longer battery life; and a sharper eInk screen than its predecessor which was released in May.
