WinDVD gets Blu-ray 3D Certification

Ottawa based Corel Corporation announced today that an upcoming version of its popular WinDVD media player has received 3D certification from the Blu-ray Disc Association.

The certification means consumers with WinDVD Pro 2010 software and 3D capable personal computers will be available to watch 3D movies on their computers when they become available.

WinDVD Pro 2010 first became available in February of this year, however, 3D playback will not be possible until a free update ships later this year.
