The CRTC said this week that it could not find any evidence that Netflix and other foreign Over the Top (OTT) media providers were having a negative impact on the Canadian broadcasting industry.
In releasing the results of its fact-finding exercise on Internet and mobile content, the federal regulator wrote that there was “no clear evidence” that Canadians were cancelling their television subscriptions because of OTT services.
