Rogers adds History TV HD and MovieTime to its lineup

Canwest Broadcasting announced today that History Television HD and MovieTime in standard definition are now available on Rogers Digital Cable.

MovieTime SD is available on channel 86 while History Television HD airs on channel 561.

Sundance Channel coming to Canada next March

Corus Entertainment and Rainbow Media today announced that they have finalized an that will enable Corus to add Sundance Channel to its portfolio of Canadian specialty services next March.

Under the creative direction of Robert Redford, Sundance Channel features a broad range of programming, from niche, genre-focused cinema to socially provocative films, documentaries and original series.

Shaw adds to its list of multicultural channels

Shaw Cable this week announced it is expanding its cultural programming with the addition of three networks – TV Polonia, Commonwealth Broadcasting Network (CBN) and TLN en Espanol.

The new stations will be launching in Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Vancouver and Victoria.

History HD now available from Shaw Direct

History HD, a high definition specialty channel from CanWest Broadcasting which launched in October, is now available from Shaw Direct.

The direct-to-home satellite broadcaster, formerly known as Star Choice, said History HD is the 58th HD channel in its line-up.

MTS TV adds twenty-three channels to its line-up

IPTV provider, MTS Allstream, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Manitoba Telecom Services Inc., today announced twenty-three channels to its MTS TV line-up.

The television provider has added five new standard definition channels to its Classic and Ultimate TV service, and 18 new high-definition channels added to the MTS Ultimate TV service bringing its HD total to 48 channels.
