MTS adds new features to its Ultimate TV Service
MTS TV this week announced two new features for its Ultimate TV customers Winter Sports Picks, Galaxie Access along with two new channels.
The new channels are RIS Info Sports, a French language sports news channel, and GMA Pinoy TV, a 24-hour Filipino channel that offers popular shows from the Philippines.
MTS Mobility offering additional coverage in Alberta and BC
MTS announced today that it has extended CDMA wireless data coverage for customers roaming in Alberta and British Columbia.
The company says the enhanced coverage will provides its customers with 3G wireless data speed when visiting major centres like Victoria, Vancouver, Calgary, and Edmonton.
MTS lays Fibre to the Home in Winnipeg neighbourhood
MTS said today that it has launched an advanced Fibre to the Home (FTTH) network in Waverly West, a new neighbourhood of some 500 homes in Winnipeg’s south-west quadrant.
FTTH connectivity is notable because it allows telecommunications providers to offer numerous services such as high definition television along with very fast internet speeds.
MTS to expand wireless coverage in Manitoba
MTS Allstream Inc. said today it would expand its CDMA wireless network to eight new rural Manitoba communities in 2010, including the port of Churchill in northern Manitoba.
The company says work on installing the sites is already under way in several locations and will cost approximately $2 million to complete.
MTS TV offering more HD than Shaw
In April of this year, MTS Allstream Inc., Canada’s largest Internet Protocol television (IPTV) service provider, announced that it had started to roll out its high definition television (HDTV) service in Winnipeg.
Since that time MTS has added many new HD stations to its line-up, including eighteen last week, and is now the number one provider of HD channels in Winnipeg.
MTS TV adds twenty-three channels to its line-up
IPTV provider, MTS Allstream, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Manitoba Telecom Services Inc., today announced twenty-three channels to its MTS TV line-up.
The television provider has added five new standard definition channels to its Classic and Ultimate TV service, and 18 new high-definition channels added to the MTS Ultimate TV service bringing its HD total to 48 channels.
Playhouse Disney now on MTS TV
Astral Media announced today that its Playhouse Disney Canada is now available to subscribers of MTS TV.
Playhouse Disney Canada is a multiplex channel from Family Channel featuring popular Disney programming and Canadian produced children’s programming.
MTS delivers Canada’s first whole home PVR
IPTV provider, MTS Allstream, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Manitoba Telecom Services Inc., today announced that it would be the first company in Canada to launch a whole home personal video recorder (PVR).
