Sirius Canada updates iOS app
An updated version of Sirius Canada’s iPhone and iPod Touch app is now available on the iTunes Canada app store.
Version 1.1, the first update since the app was launched in November 2009, includes support for iOS 4 multitasking.
Bell launches CTV iPhone app and TSN iPad app
Bell Media this week has announced two new free iOS apps, a CTV news app for the iPhone and a TSN app for iPad.
The CTV news app features top news stories, editorial photography along with Local news, entertainment, health stories and, of course, the latest CTV television schedule.
Global TV app now works on iPhone and iPod Touch
Shaw Media said today that Version 1.2 of their Global Video App is now available on the Canadian App Store. When it was first released last December, the app could only run on an iPad but with V1.2, the Apple iPhone and iPod touch are now supported.
Sirius XM updates iOS app for iPad users
Sirius XM Radio this week released an update to its Apple iOS application which features a new iPad-optimized user interface.
Included in the new design are album art and artist biographies which provide the listener with added information while listening to their favourite music.
Pioneer adds four Home Theatre receivers to its line-up
Pioneer Electronics Canada today announced the addition of four 5.1 and 7.1-channel audio video (A/V) receivers to their line-up.
Recognizing the the impact the Apple iPod Touch, iPhone and iPad has had on Digital Home owners, the new Pioneer VSX-521, VSX-821, VSX-921 and VSX-1021 receivers all come with a USB/video cable so homeowners can playback of audio and video from their iOS device. The higher end VSX-1021 receiver can also be used as an Apple Airplay wireless device.
Free UPS Mobile App lets Canadians track their packages
UPS said today that its UPS Mobile App for iPhone is now available for customers in Canada. The application enables customers to ship and track packages as well as find the nearest UPS location from their iPhone.
The company now offers a UPS Mobile app for Android, Blackberry and iPhone users.
iPhone app helps Canadians find a home
The Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA) today released its Relator.ca app for the Apple iPhone.
The free application brings many of the features and functionality that can be found on the industry trade groups website plus some mobile specific features.
