Sasktel offers iPad 2 data plans
SaskTel, providers of wireless service to over half a million customers in Saskatchewan, announced last week that it is now offering two dedicated data plans for the iPad 2.
“We are excited to bring affordable data plans for the iPad 2 to our customers enabling an unbeatable experience at our Wi-Fi locations or on Saskatchewan’s largest and fastest 4G network.” said Ron Styles, SaskTel President and CEO.
Analyst estimates 250,000 Playbooks have been sold
In a research note sent to clients, RBC Capital Markets analyst Mike Abramsky is reporting that Research in Motion (RIM) has sold 250,000 Playbooks since its launch on April 19th.
The tablet computer went on-sale April 19th at more than 20,000 retail locations in the United States and Canada, just days after the launch of the Motorola android powered Xoom tablet and three weeks after the launch of the Apple iPad 2 tablet.
iPad 2 coming to Canada on March 25th
Apple CEO Steve jobs made a surprise appearance to launch the iPad 2, the latest version of its tablet computer, in San Francisco today.
The second generation iPad is set to go on sale March 11th in the United States at the same price as the original iPad. Canadians will have to make a trip south of the border or wait until March 25th to get their hands on one in this country. Pricing in Canada was not announced.
