Star Trek tops last week’s DVD charts

“Star Trek” from Paramount was the top selling movie and the top rental on DVD in North America last week according to figures published today by Rentrak.

In second spot for sales was last week’s number one seller “UP” from Disney/Pixar followed by the previous week’s top seller “G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra.”

“UP” from Disney/Pixar was the top selling movie on DVD while Sony’s “The Ugly Truth” was top rental on DVD in North America last week according to figures published today by Rentrak.

In second spot for sales was last week’s number one seller “G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra” from Paramount. Sneaking into the top ten was the “Peanuts Holiday Collection” featuring Charlie Brown.

In its first week of release, “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” from Paramount Pictures was the most rented movie in North America last week according to figures published by Rentrak.

In second spot was “The Proposal” from Touchstone. Both were also the top selling DVD’s for the week.
