Sasktel offers iPad 2 data plans

SaskTel, providers of wireless service to over half a million customers in Saskatchewan, announced last week that it is now offering two dedicated data plans for the iPad 2.

“We are excited to bring affordable data plans for the iPad 2 to our customers enabling an unbeatable experience at our Wi-Fi locations or on Saskatchewan’s largest and fastest 4G network.” said Ron Styles, SaskTel President and CEO.

SMS alerts lets Telus users better manage their data usage

Telus today announced the launch of a SMS text message notification system that notifies wireless customers when they reach certain thresholds of data consumption.

SMS notifications for data plan customers will be sent informing them when they have reached both 75 per cent and 95 per cent of their data thresholds in a given month.

AT&T offers new iPad / iPhone data plans in U.S.

In the U.S., AT&T has announced two new 3G pricing plans for iPad and iPhone users. Under the new pricing scheme, 3G data service will cost $15 a month for 200 MB of data under the DataPlus plans and $25 per month for 2 GB of data under the DataPro plan.

Bell announces iPad 3G rate plans

Bell has announced it will offer data plans for the 3G enabled iPad which goes on sale tomorrow in Canada.

The company says it will offer two thirty day plans to iPad owners with a Bell Micro Sim card: a 250MB and 5GB plan for $15 and $35 respectively.

Wind Mobile announces Voice and Data Plans

Wind Mobile, Canada’s newest wireless phone provider today announced pricing for its wireless phones and its voice and data plans.

The company will be offering three voice plans: Chat, Always Talk and Always Shout for $15, $35 and $45 a month respectively which do not include the cost of the wireless phone. Wind will also offer a data only plan called Infinite laptop for $55 per month.
