At CES in Las Vegas today, Acer unveiled the Aspire S5 which the company claims is the world’s thinnest Ultrabook which measures just 15 mm at the maximal point.
An Ultrabook is a computer in a category of higher-end thin and lightweight ultraportable laptops, defined by a specification from Intel. The devices feature a low voltage Intel processor, integrated graphics and flash-based drives.

Acer America today announced the Iconia Tab A200, a new 10.1-inch tablet computer, will be available in the United States on January 15th.
When it’s released, the Iconia Tab A200, will be operating on the Android Honeycomb 3.2 operating system, however, Acer promises a free upgrade to Android 4.0 (aka Ice Cream Sandwich) will will be available in mid-February.

U.S. tablet sales, excluding iPad sales, reached 1.2 million units for the first ten months of 2011 according to a recent report from the NPD Group.
Surprisingly, HP, which released its WebOS powered Touchpad tablet in July and cancelled it in August, was the number one seller with a 17% market share or just over 200,000 units.

The Acer Iconia Tab A501 with HSPA+, an Android powered 10.1-inch touch screen tablet, is now on-sale in Canada.
Encased in an silver brushed metal aluminum chassis, features of the device include a NVIDIA Tegra 2 mobile 1GHz dual-core processor and integrated GeForce GPU, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, Bluetooth, Micro SDHC slot and micro USB port.

Acer America today introduced the Iconia Tab A100 in the United States and Canada which the company says is the industry’s first 7-inch tablet running on the Android 3.2 (aka Honeycomb) operating system.
The 8GB and 16GB WiFi enabled versions of the A100 are now available in the U.S. for $330 and $350 respectively. Canadians unfortunately will have to wait until September to get their hands on the device and will pay a steep premium over consumers south of the border.

Acer America said today that its Iconia Tab W500, a 10.1-inch tablet running Microsoft Windows 7, is now available for sale now in the United States and will be available in Canada sometime in June.
Powered by an AMD C-50 processor, features of the new device include: a 1280×800 multi-touch screen; 2GB of DDR3 memory; 32GB solid state drive; SD carder; ATI Radeon HD 6250 graphics; accelerometer; and two 1.3MP webcams, one each on the front and back.

Acer announced today that its first tablet computer using Google’s Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) OS is now available for pre-order in the United States. No word yet on Canadian availability.
Available in U.S. stores on April 24th, the Acer Iconia Tab A500 will sell for $449, $50 cheaper than the entry level Apple iPad2.

The Iconia-6120 Dual-Screen Touchbook from Acer is now available for pre-sale in North America, the company announced today.
Powered by Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, the Iconia features an Intel Core i5 processor, 4GB of RAM, Intel HD Graphics, two touch-enabled 14-inch LED backlit LCD screens, 1.3 megapixel webcam, WiFi, USB 3.0 and HMDI connectivity and a 640GB hard disk drive for plenty of storage.
