Hi There,
Have anyone one of you tried to open up the 9242 to take the hard drive out (to plug it into your computer)? If you have done it, have you had success in getting your recording off of the hard drive and, once the hard drive is put back into it's original place, has the unit gone back to working like nothing happened? Some people have had success moving the encrypted files around on their External Hard Disk (EHD), so doing the same on the internal disk might be possible.
