jamcan, maybe they just don't think anyone would be interested in it. My experience is that providers will offer any service that can make money for them!

Cogeco's on demand service is far better then other cable systems. I have Source Cable (Hamilton Mountain). Now there on demand service is garbage.

Rogers On Demand is actually pretty decent. Cogeco On Demand is - meh. Especially during peak hours, uhg, it's slower than molasses.

As for why it's not available on Cogeco, welcome to the wonderful world of "If the competition doesn't offer it, who gives a crap", also known as Canada.

Default CBC Newsworld HD now on Cogeco

I just heard from a reliable source that CBC Newsworld HD is now available from Cogeco. "As of today" he told me.

Can anyone verify this?

Cheers!

Default not here

Channel 755 isn't up and running in Oakville, or at least, not on my TV. Does anyone in Oakville have this channel yet?

I have Newsworld HD working - when it appeared in the guide yesterday, all that was displayed was "this channel will be available shortly". I had to call Cogeco tech support to remedy the situation. All is fine today.

Default Omni HD?

Newsworld is 755 in Windsor as well.

My Cogeco guy was in my office this morning. Told me there is also a new HD channel called Omni. Any idea what this is?

Cheers!

Default It's up now

I needed to call Cogeco to get an update sent to my box. I asked the CSR if they had OMNI HD, and he said not yet. But he knows that Cogeco is looking to add a few extra HD channels.
