Default Will Canada see its first white Christmas since '71?

Looks like good news for all Canadians with the Christmas spirit

Quote:
The first day of winter brought wind-chill warnings, snow and a bevy of storms to cities across Canada on Sunday, potentially laying the groundwork for the first cross-country white Christmas in nearly four decades.

Environment Canada senior climatologist David Phillips told CTV Newsnet that "it looks like a very good chance" it will be a white Christmas for all parts of Canada for the first time since 1971.

We're trying our best here on the island, and doing a darn good job too! Maybe too good We haven't had snow stick like this in awhile!! In fact, after 10 days of the white stuff, it's about time I go get myself some winter boots!

I’ve had more than enough of this cold and snow. I'm not leaving the house again until the big chinooks of February and March start rolling in.

I think I’ve shoveled my sidewalk more than 40 times in the last three weeks. I have already worn an inch and half off of the end of my new snow shovel. All that wet snow that fell back on December sixth caused the old Bird Cherry tree in my back yard to split in two and fall over. Thankfully only a few bird feeders were damaged. But I can't let our son play in the back yard utill we get it properly cleaned up.

Though yesterday my neighbour did bring over a few nice bottles of wine and big tray of home made cookies to thank me for keeping her walk cleaned off.
