We're trying our best here on the island, and doing a darn good job too! Maybe too good

I’ve had more than enough of this cold and snow. I'm not leaving the house again until the big chinooks of February and March start rolling in.
![]() I think I’ve shoveled my sidewalk more than 40 times in the last three weeks. I have already worn an inch and half off of the end of my new snow shovel. All that wet snow that fell back on December sixth caused the old Bird Cherry tree in my back yard to split in two and fall over. Thankfully only a few bird feeders were damaged. But I can't let our son play in the back yard utill we get it properly cleaned up. Though yesterday my neighbour did bring over a few nice bottles of wine and big tray of home made cookies to thank me for keeping her walk cleaned off. |
