I don't like her decisions either, but one of her campaign promises was never to give in to terrorists. She didn't give in and 2 planes crashed on American soil killing hundreds of people. She was true to her word, but maybe she should have gone back on that promise.

There are a number of small things that irritate me about this season...once we're nitpicking.
Like Dubaku. Is he like Worst Terrorist Ever? So he's got this great little machine, right? It can cause planes to crash. It can cause meltdowns. It can destroy America with the push of a button. The sort of macine every bad guy in James Bond movies would dream about, right? So what does he do? When he escapes during a raid, he leaves it behind. |

Or the fact he risks everything for some girl he knew for a few months. And it ended up costing him his getaway. |

Wow! What an episode! The first part wasn't great, but the last hour was incredible. Some of the best 24 in years.

For the most part, I enjoyed last night's episode as well. The first hour was mostly used as a build-up for the last hour, so it was a good thing it was aired as a 2-part series.
And as usual, Jack ends up stuck in a 'damned if you do, damned if you don't' scenario towards the end. |

Jesus, what a ride! This is why it's the best show on tv. Feel bad for Jack, he could be the last guy on the planet and nobody would listen to him. Actress who plays the President was great in this episode, very underrated actress. And classic Jon Voight, "Let's play some darts "...

I don't know if I've ever been more emotionally gripped while watching TV(except for hockey) after those episodes last night...the season just keeps getting better and more intense.I have absolutely no idea what's gonna happen next week other than Larry Moss calling the invasion of the white house, going against the demands of the VP.

Is it just me or was it extremely easy for those guys to penetrate the White House? I mean, I have no problems switching OFF my scrutiny to enjoy the show, but if they really wanted to have the terrorists get to the president, how about choosing anoher venue where she would have been more vulnerable?
Plus, there's entirely too much being made about Jack torturing people in this season. As if this doesn't actually happen. Do people actually not think that any of the Sept. 11 terrorists would have been tortured to extract information had they been captured the day before? The movie "Body of lies" provided a more accurate picture of interrogation techniques these days. But I still enjoy it. Heh, it's Jack Bauer after all

Yea I thought it was really easy too. I was half expecting to see them bring in Michael Scofield (from Prison Break) to help them break in.
And yea the whole Jack tortures people and everybody else doesn't is getting really annoying. |

As far as penetrating the White House goes, it doesn't seem so improbable -given not only how incredibly porous the US border is in the 24 universe in terms of terrorist movement- but also considering how easy it is for these people to obtain work in sensitvie areas (like the White House, or the Secret Service). And add to that how many corrupt government officials are out there. It's no wonder they need Jack Bauer! |

Have to say I am really enjoying the season so far. Yes, there have been a few silly moments, but overall pretty good. Clearly the theme of the year is torture vs non-torture; desensitized robot Jack vs Agent Freckles' ethics - I think we all agree that this topic has been a little heavy handed so far, but I can live with it.
My only question now is: When Agent Freckles storms the White House to save the day (I am just assuming that will happen), will it be with or without Larry Moss's authorization? |

Here's another view of the White House invasion.......Why not have the Navy Seals go in the same way as the Terrorists did?? Or have they figured that out yet.....no...lets bust through the front door
