figured all you avr enthusiast (whatever your stripe) would be interested to read a article from digital home. Interesting to note that I was in contact with a product specialist (at Erikson Consumer in Montreal, The distributor for HK products in Canada) The 7 series (as they touted) is due out late spring 2009 in Canada. **Dooh !! I didn't ask the manufacturer's retail. ** Ok admittedly not the journalist type of guy ..

That being said ..my hunch is that this may coincide with Montreal's

Son and Image Festival. Each spring, for the past 21 years, Festival Son & Image has brought high-end audio and video enthusiasts together in Montréal. FSI visitors come in great numbers to discover new products and hot trends in audio, home theater, home automation and video games. Some other guests come to listen and rediscover their favorite discs on a $250,000 sound system

The show, apparently (in their words) is quite an event

With over 12,000 visitors coming from all over Canada and the United States, the FSI is the largest consumer electronics show in North America and one of the most renowned in the world

That would be interesting. The show runs from April 2-5, 2009 in beautiful Montreal. **April 3-5 open to the public. Google it .and have a peak.

With the reliability and firmware bug issues that have plagued H/K for the last 3 product generations, I bet most knowledgeable buyers will just yawn at this news.

Too bad - 20 to 30 years ago, this was a premier brand.
