Default Guide aspect ratio

When I first hooked up my terminal, the SHAW guide would be in widescreen format when on SD or HD channels. After a firmware update the guide shows as 4:3 when tuned to HD, but stretches to fill the 16:9 screen when on SD. I presume the guide is to be 4:3 natively. Is there a way to keep it stretched to fill the screen? In the menu i have checked TV type 16:9,and resolution settings are at 1080p for YPBR.Any info?

The guide is 4:3 format and to the best of our knowledge on my TV it has never been full screen when on an HD channel. Sorry.

Did you have your TV set to stretched for SD and you were looking at the guide from an SD channel?

If the YPbPr setup option allows for 480i/p, then perhaps that was the setting you were using before the last firmware update? The TV would then have stretched the HD channels if you have the TV set to a stretch mode?

It would be nice if the "screen saver" was 16:9 at least...

I have the same issue but opposite.

On HD channels the guide shows as 4:3 with black bars on the side. (I like it this way)

When I switch to a SD channel it stretchs the guide to fill the screen. (I DON'T like this)

Any way to fix this and keep is NON-stretched all the time?

I believe you would have to change your 4:3 Override in the USer Settings to 480i or 480P which could cause other issues.
